It has completely captivated me!
When my boys "flew the coop" to attend high school and college and my duties as a stay-at-home mom were no longer needed full time, I spent those years working in the field of special education and educational therapy. In July of 2007 I decided to stop working for others and pursue my passion. Since then, I have been creating glass art full time and I am having the time of my life!
I have studied under a number of world renowned quilt and glass artists over the past 20 years and continue to attend classes and seminars whenever possible. Most recently I attended a class in Portland, Oregon taught by world renowned fusing artist Patty Gray of Brier, Washington and fourth generation glassblower Hans Ittig of Wertheim, Germany. This opened up the world of glassblowing to me to incorporate the geometry of fusing with the free formed shapes that can only be achieved through glassblowing.
I have lived on the Central Coast of California for the last 30 years. I have been married 25 years to my husband Steven. He is the owner of Stillman Enterprises, Inc. a General Contracting firm. We have two boys ages 21 and 24 who are both attending college; one at Cuesta College, and the other at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah.
All of my creations are designed and produced by me personally in my home studio. Many are one-of–a-kind. I have earned a reputation for unique design, attention to detail, and personalized service. I hope you enjoy looking through my designs as much as I enjoy creating them for you.
