Techniques for "Painting with Shards"Presented by Janine StillmanVirtual via Zoom- Saturday, February 6th 9:30 a.m. until noon.
In this virtual class, we will select a pattern that is suitable for this technique and discuss our approach. Cutting the shards can be tricky and we will learn how to cut, shape and place the shard-strokes in directions that define and decorate the spaces. Border designs as well as "grouting" techniques will also be presented for a comprehensive look at this watercolor-like glass technique. Settle in for a fun day of creating custom glass designs with me, virtually!

When registration is complete, a link for the Zoom meeting and the class handouts will be sent to the participant using the email provided upon registration. Once the handouts, meeting link and password have been sent, there will be no refund. I will put together special kits and supplies for each class that will be offered for sale on my website and at my studio. These can be shipped, obtained via a virtual (Zoom or Facetime) shopping experience including "gate-side pickup" or a private socially-distanced shopping session can be scheduled at my studio. Firing schedules will be included in the class handouts and kiln-shelf rental and firing of glass pieces will be available (for a fee) for locals who do not own kilns. Please contact [email protected] to make shopping appointments or to schedule kiln firings.
